What to Bring

It is suggested that All Hunters bring the following:

  • “Quiet” Rain gear
  • Weapon of choice
  • Ammunition
  • Appropriate game license
  • Game tag
  • Camera & film (for great memories!)
  • Compass (never go into the woods without one)
  • Warm clothing (weather changes quickly/evenings can get cool)
  • Rubber boots
  • Flashlight and at least one sharp knife
  • Padded cushion (during Bear over bait season)
  • Big game license from your home state or a current Hunting Safety Class Card (in order to purchase a Maine hunting license).
  • Cooler for meat
  • Two articles of “Hunter Orange” must be worn at all times during Deer season (one of which MUST be a hat). During Moose season, you’ll need a single article of orange clothing (hat or vest)
  • Full camouflage suit with face-mask (for Turkey; Spring and Fall)
